Andréa N. Ventura, CFA, é do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, e é fundadora e gestora da Flame Ventures, uma firma que investe em startups em estágio inicial e com elevado potencial de crescimento. Previamente, acumulou experiência profissional no mercado financeiro e no setor tecnológico, tendo trabalhado no Silicon Valley dos EUA e na vibrante região de Cantão da China. Adicionalmente, é membro do comitê Comunidade CFA de Língua Portuguesa. É engenheira industrial de formação, tendo posteriormente concluído um MBA executivo e obtido o certificado CFA.

Frantz Tavares é de Cabo Verde e lidera atualmente a INOVE, uma firma de consultoria que atua nas áreas de investimentos, finanças, contabilidade e fiscalidade. Anteriormente, foi gestor de um grupo hoteleiro durante cerca de uma década, tal como exerceu cargos de liderança em instituições públicas de referência no seu país. Estudou administração de empresas e finanças em Portugal, no Luxemburgo e nos EUA.

Joshua A. Fernandes é de Goa, Índia, e vive atualmente em Portugal. É gestor e investidor com mais de 20 anos de experiência nas áreas de investimento, aquisições, gestão operacional e desenvolvimento imobiliário na Europa, em África e na Ásia. O seu foco atual está no investimento em empresas portuguesas consolidadas e no apoio ao seu crescimento a longo prazo, através de um envolvimento ativo na gestão. Estudou engenharia industrial e de produção, tendo posteriormente concluído um MBA em Espanha e frequentado um programa de formação executiva nos EUA.

Miguel M. Falcão, CFA, é de Lisboa, Portugal, e trabalha presentemente na gestão de uma empresa de construção. Anteriormente, trabalhou no mercado financeiro e em consultoria de gestão em Portugal, nos EUA, no Brasil e nos Países Baixos. Adicionalmente, é Vice-Presidente da CFA Society Portugal e co-Presidente do comitê Comunidade CFA de Língua Portuguesa. Estudou administração de empresas, tendo posteriormente concluído um MBA nos EUA e obtido o certificado CFA.

Mike Blake, CFA, é de Atlanta, EUA, e trabalha, a partir de Portugal, em avaliação de empresas e em assessoria de fusões e aquisições. Foi nesta área que dedicou a maior parte dos seus 33 anos de carreira, tendo exercido essencialmente nos EUA, não só em Atlanta, mas também Nova York e Richmond. Também trabalhou, no início de carreira, na Ucrânia e na Bielorrússia na gestão de programas educacionais. Estudou economia e administração de empresas, tendo posteriormente obtido o certificado CFA.

Dérick Samo Gudo, CFA, é de Maputo, Moçambique, onde trabalha em banca de investimento há cerca de 8 anos. Adicionalmente, é membro do comitê Comunidade CFA de Língua Portuguesa. Estudou administração, contabilidade e finanças na África do Sul, tendo posteriormente obtido o certificado CFA.

Páscoa Faria é de Luanda, Angola, onde trabalha atualmente como coordenadora de fundos e analista de investimentos alternativos. Previamente, trabalhou como analista financeira numa empresa de cervejas. Adicionalmente, é membro do comitê Comunidade CFA de Língua Portuguesa. Estudou finanças, logística e operações nos EUA.

Andréa N. Ventura, CFA, is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is the founder and managing partner of Flame Ventures, a firm that invests in early-stage startups with high growth potential. Previously, she accumulated professional experience in the financial and technology sectors, having worked in Silicon Valley in the USA and in China’s vibrant Guangdong region. She is also a member of the Portuguese-Speaking CFA Community committee. She trained as an industrial engineer and later completed an Executive MBA and obtained the CFA charter.

Frantz Tavares is from Cape Verde and currently leads INOVE, a consulting firm operating in the areas of investments, finance, accounting, and taxation. Previously, he managed a hotel group for approximately a decade, and held leadership roles at prominent state-institutions in Cape Verde. He studied business administration and finance in Portugal, Luxembourg, and the USA.

Joshua A. Fernandes is from Goa, India, and is currently based in Portugal. He is an operator and investor with more than 20 years of experience across investment, acquisitions, business operations and real estate development in Europe, Africa and Asia. His current focus is on investing in established Portuguese businesses and supporting their long-term growth through active operational leadership. He trained as an industrial and production engineer, later completed an MBA in Spain, and attended an executive education program in the USA.

Miguel M. Falcão, CFA is from Lisbon, Portugal, and currently works in the management of a construction company. Previously, he worked in financial markets and management consulting in Portugal, the USA, Brazil, and the Netherlands. He is also Vice-President of CFA Society Portugal and co-President of the Portuguese-Speaking CFA Community committee. He studied business administration, later completed an MBA in the USA, and obtained the CFA charter.

Mike Blake, CFA, is from Atlanta, USA, and works in business valuation and mergers and acquisitions advisory based out of Portugal. Most of his 33-year career has been dedicated to this field in the USA, not only in Atlanta but also in New York and Richmond. Earlier in his career, he also worked in Ukraine and Belarus, managing educational programs. He studied economics and business administration and later obtained the CFA charter.

Dérick Samo Gudo, CFA, is from Maputo, Mozambique, where he has worked in investment banking for approximately eight years. He is also a member of the Portuguese-Speaking CFA Community committee. He studied management, accounting, and finance in South Africa and later obtained the CFA charter.

Páscoa Faria is from Luanda, Angola, where she currently works as a fund coordinator and alternative investments analyst. Previously, she worked as a financial analyst at a brewing company. She is also a member of the Portuguese-Speaking CFA Community committee. She studied finance, logistics, and operations in the USA.
